Josephine’s brother Matthew died in 2020, she was then faced with having to attend his inquest and the variety of layers this included - before, during and after the event. With no knowledge of what an inquest was, what it included, or who could attend, not to mention what her and her families rights were. Josephine felt hopeless that she couldn’t control much of the process nor did she feel supported by any authoritative figures. After seeing many petitions try and fail to make change, Josephine took matters into her own hands and contacted her brothers friends who are film makers, and together they set about creating a documentary.

The Truth Behind Inquests was then born, and in 2024 they are almost ready to share it with the world and create positive change once and for all.
